A little about RoboPrix 1.0

“Every great journey begins with a small step”
A small step by us, the Robotics club of VIT Chennai towards a great journey –RoboPrix’19. Our very first, yet successful roboprix'19 , took place on 11th and 12th of February. It was a concatenation of challenging competitions which aimed at testing the hardware, designing, efficiency, accuracy and functioning of the competing robots. We were honoured to have had enthusiastic participants from various schools and colleges, in and around Chennai. The event witnessed a total of 312 zestful participants, 59teams. The vibrant event started on 11th February at 10pm with a grand inauguration. We were esteemed to have Mr. Ganesh Mani, senior Vice President of Productions at Hyundai Motor India Ltd as Chief guest. Our revered coordinator, Dr Arockia Selvakumar sir welcomed the inquisitive gathering. This marked the beginning of of our Roboprix's journey. The series of challenging events organized include, Line follower race, Maze runner race, Weight class drag race and Obstacle race. All the winners were awarded with cash prize and runner-ups were awarded educational books by our guest of honor, Mr. Arthanarieaswaran S., head of Hardware practices of embedded horizontal BU in L&T on the valedictorian function held on 12th February at 3pm. A heart-warming thank you speech by our faculty coordinator marked the end of our beautiful experience of Roboprix’19.
